St. Michael's attractive park is one of the special places of interest in Steyl. Its natural landscaping makes it a unique environment of quiet and harmony. The gardens were set out in the early years of the Mission House. They have several grottoes which were constructed at the beginning of the 20th century.

The cemetery is a frequently visited area of the grounds. It has a small chapel with a life-sized mosaic of the Risen Christ, made with stones from the five continents.
